Turn your dreams into reality

Dreams, you’ve got big dreams! They can be so exciting and inspiring to dream about, but how do you actually bring them to life?

I’m here to show you how, and tell you this is your year, the best one yet! You’ve made it this far through the good and the bad, so what's stopping you from pursuing your wildest dreams? This is the year to turn a new page and end procrastination to start making the things you want happen.

Believe you can and watch the magic unfold!

As simple as this sounds it can be really difficult to wholeheartedly believe in ourselves. A trick I like to apply to many things in life is called the “21 day rule” for 21 days you must do one thing to reinstill whatever it is you are trying to change, accomplish, or incorporate in your life. A good example of this would be looking in the mirror each morning before you get ready and say “I believe in myself, I can achieve anything I want, I am good enough and I will succeed!” These morning mantras will positively change how you feel about yourself, but remember you must practice this daily, it takes 21 days to form a new habit which means after the 21 days these healthy thoughts and feelings will be infused into your very being allowing you to be the best, most confident version of yourself.

Actions speak louder than words

With that being said the next step in making your biggest dreams come true is taking action, you have to take steps each day to get you closer to your dreams, no matter how big or small these actions will eventually guide you right where you want to be. Here are a few motivational quotes you can use to remind yourself the importance of one small step and to always keep going.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”

– Lao Tzu

“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tiptoe if you must, but take a step.”

– Naeem Callaway

“Each step you take reveals a new horizon. You have taken the first step today. Now I challenge you to take another.”

– Dan Poynter

Don’t let fear stop you

The more you fear something, the more concrete it becomes, so cut it off right at the source – ain’t nobody have time for that! Fear most commonly looks like excuses, they are your worst enemy and don’t benefit in helping you achieve your dreams. If you catch yourself making up reasons why you can’t instead of why you can/should do something that will ultimately bring you closer to your dreams, take a deeper look inside and find out what is actually causing these fear based excuses. Remember the biggest changes in life come after we face our fears, it’s one of the most important ways we can grow and succeed as a person, making the impossible possible.

Drown out the naysayers

Turn their negative beliefs into fuel and use it as motivation to prove them all wrong! Think of how far you’ve come and where you’ve been, follow your gut, only you should tell yourself what you can achieve, because who knows you better than you? Oftentimes the naysayers can be people very close to us like family, friends or a partner, but just because they tell you something and you have a relationship, doesn’t mean they're right. It tends to be some of the closest people to us that think they know what is right for us, some do it out of kindness and others out of jealousy, no matter what they say, do what you know deep down is best for you and only you.
